Fall brings some amazing sunsets to Duluth.
Jen and I strolled down on the popular Lakewalk Trail a couple of weeks ago and we stopped to snap pictures. I took this one from a spit of land that hooks out from the trail. It’s amazing how the sky lights up over the lake and the water turns different, softer colors throughout the event.
Standing on the shoreline and looking back at the city, the bridge and the sky it feels like your inside a kaleidoscope looking outwards.
It’s hard to take a bad picture of a Duluth sunset. Some people are very good at it.
I recently discovered the Instagram feed for Duluth photographer Martha Lind. It’s stunning. Lind has mastered the art of photographing the sunrise. The reds, yellows and oranges all blended together behind the historic lift bridge, a mighty ore carrier or an endless horizon. The pictures are so good you wish you were able to get up every morning at 5 a.m just to see the sky.
Fall brings some amazing sunrises over Duluth too.
But you won’t see any of those pictures here.
I’m just not a morning person.
